IPC Shopping Centre says IPC Gourmet Hall is still aimed at December 2026. A 19 August PR Newswire note put construction at the halfway mark and named a first batch of tenants. The hall is about 43,000 square feet with 39 outlets on Level G in Mutiara Damansara. It sits in the same IKEA-anchored complex PJ families already use for weekend errands, not a new mall on the other side of the highway.
Who is actually signed
Confirmed names in the August release: Ole-Ole Bali, Paradise Dynasty, Chameleon Restaurant, Bantianyao Grilled Fish, Seven Seas, BaD Scones, Churn Ice Cream, Halla Holla, Furiku, and Anytime Acai. That is a mix of sit-down, grilled fish, ice cream, scones, and acai, not a copy of the existing food court. Paradise Dynasty is described as a first-of-its-kind concept for this mall, different from its other Malaysian outlets. Ole-Ole Bali is also bringing a new concept. Chameleon Restaurant, a Japanese-Western fusion brand, is taking its first shopping-centre outlet.
BaD Scones sells English scones and British comfort food on a buy-and-donate model. Churn is a Malaysian ice-cream brand. The release also mentions sourdough waffles as a first recorded in Malaysia. Treat that as the operator's claim until the stall is open and you can taste it. Acting general manager Mark Tan said the hall is meant for weekday lunches, family meals, and the kind of third-place hanging-out IPC already sells under its Lagom line. The pictures released so far are artist impressions. Final finishes can shift.
How this started in April
Ikano Centres announced the hall in late March and early April 2026, with construction due to start that April. EdgeProp and The Edge Singapore carried the same numbers: 43,000 sq ft GLA, 39 outlets, December target, indoor greenery, open plan, communal tables and quieter corners. A twin project, Toppen Foodland in Johor Bahru, is not a PJ story. Ignore it unless you are driving south.
IPC opened in December 2003 as Malaysia's first IKEA-anchored meeting place. The Gourmet Hall is an F&B rebuild on Level G, not a new tower. Shoppers have already been walking past hoardings. The August tenant list is the first public sign of who occupies those units. Leasing is still open through the mall's commercial email if you are a brand, not a diner.
How to use IPC until December
Mutiara Damansara MRT on the Kajang Line is the cleanest public-transport drop. The Curve and IKEA Damansara are next door, so a Gourmet Hall opening will pull the same parking decks that already jam on Saturday. If you only need lunch now, the current IPC F&B mix is still operating around the works. Do not plan a December reservation from this article. Watch ipc.com.my and the mall's Instagram for a firm public opening date, unit map, and hours. The press copy says 39 outlets on completion. Count the shutters when the tape comes down.
